Cider Making History
The last month we have smelt the gorgeous cider apple aroma right across our county of Herefordshire as businesses prepare for cider making to commence. This means Autumn is here.
Cider Making used to be a very busy time for us, when we traded as Symonds Cider. So many trailer loads of apples being delivered to our premises ready to be pressed into many different flavours including Scrumpy Jack. Staff worked incredibly long hours trying to ensure all the apples were used.
These photos are all from the early 1980’s and include a tour of students from Aberystwyth University. As you can imagine they thoroughly enjoyed their time on site and of course sampling the different ciders that were available!
